Catherine Parker

Administration/Practicum Student

Catherine is currently in the process of obtaining her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Prior to her counseling career, Catherine graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. Catherine has four years of teaching experience in both Kindergarten and Preschool. While teaching, Catherine earned her Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Psychology from Liberty University. Catherine has worked the past two summers at New Horizons Therapy, an ABA company serving children in the Lowcountry with Autism.

Catherine’s experience teaching in low-income schools led her to pursue a career in counseling. Catherine strives to meet the mental health needs of children and individuals through meaningful relationships, empathetic conversations, and evidence-based practices. She would like to display the love of Christ through her work as an aspiring Licensed Professional Counselor.

Catherine has been trained in Applied Behavior Analysis. Most recently, Catherine attended an intensive group counseling course at Liberty University. She would like to obtain her certification in Play Therapy as well as Trauma Informed Care. She is excited about beginning her internship with Life Resources.

Catherine is originally from Sumter, South Carolina. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring Charleston, and walking her rescue dog Molly.
