We are a Christian Mental Health Resource Center serving the Lowcountry of South Carolina. As a faith-based non-profit organization, we seek to provide affordable life transforming resources to children, adolescents, and adults in a peaceful, safe, and confidential setting that honors individual religious and cultural differences. Built on the foundation that the most powerful model for real life change is one that integrates sound clinical practice and the best of science with the Power and Truth of the Gospel, we partner with you on your journey to healing and wholeness.
All of our counselors hold accredited Masters or Doctoral level degrees and are either ordained in ministry, licensed therapists or are pursuing licensure under supervision in the State of South Carolina. We strive to maintain the highest level of personal and professional integrity in our service to you.
Counseling
At our core, Life Resources provides a safe and confidential setting where professional therapists offer hope and guidance to foster relational healing. We believe that God is the Healer and we are simply His vessels to help restore authentic relationships with God, ourselves, and others. Individual, couples, and family therapy is available in a wide range of modalities, including EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy).
Groups
Groups are offered periodically by qualified professionals to promote guidance and growth in a mutually supportive atmosphere. Groups explore topics such as grief, healing from childhood trauma, and codependency.

Here at Life Resources, we pair clients with a therapist that best suits the specific needs of the client- such as location, insurance, etc. Our therapists are all licensed and specialized in specific areas that aid our client in their healing process.

Child Therapist:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Life Resources’ therapists specialize in a number of clinical areas, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, or “EFT”, for individuals, couples, and families.
When working with couples, our therapist employ the most scientifically advanced methods for working with distressed couples, the primary model for our work is through Emotionally Focused Therapy. This model is known for its’ non-pathologizing approach to working with distressed relationships. This means that EFT therapists recognize that the feelings and behaviors exhibited by couples in distress are understandable and usually do not warrant a clinical diagnosis.

Prayer Ministry
As a faith based healing center, we believe that only God can truly heal a broken heart and bring restoration and transformation. At the client’s request, we offer prayer ministry as a free and confidential adjunctive service to therapy. Trained and experienced prayer ministers from several local churches volunteer their time to come alongside hurting people to help them experience the forgiveness, compassion, and healing Presence of Jesus Christ.
