The St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church Men's Group May Dinner meeting will be held on Monday, May 15th at 6:30PM at LIDI Restaurant.

Their guest speaker will be our own, Dr. Barbara Boatwright, Clinical Psychologist and Executive Director of Life Resources. Dr. Boatwright’s topic will be “Created for Connection with God and One Another,” with emphasis on how to better connect with your spouse. The relationship between husband and wife is designed by God to provide emotional protection and a safe haven from the storms in life. All too often, this relationship becomes one of the greatest sources of our wounding. Her presentation will equip you with tools to foster a more secure connection with your spouse.

Barbara completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Special Education from Vanderbilt University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis. After an Internship with the Department of Psychiatry at MUSC, she worked at the Atlanta Counseling Center, where she was introduced to the integration of Christianity into Clinical Psychology.

Barbara has maintained a private practice in Mt. Pleasant since 1994 specializing in therapy that incorporates Biblical Truth to promote emotional and relational healing and transformation. She also has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy – the most scientifically proven model to date for successful marriage counseling. Barbara serves as the Executive Director of Life Resources and is currently focusing her time in training clinicians in a Christian integrated model of therapy and consulting with area leaders.
