Renee Ferguson, M.A.

Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate

Renee is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and is a nationally certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). She holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Regent University and a Masters degree in Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University.

Renee has worked in the mental health and social services field since 2014. Prior to earning her Masters degree, she held a variety of positions including team lead in a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents, social worker in private and county foster care services, and case manager for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These pivotal experiences confirmed for her that promoting mental health and wellness is her passion and led her to earn her Masters degree and become a therapist. During her Masters program, Renee completed an internship at a community mental health agency and at a school day treatment program. Working with children and adolescents has underscored the importance of providing trauma-informed care and she has sought advanced training in trauma-informed treatments, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Renee is passionate about working with each client to provide a safe place where each client can reach new levels of healing and wholeness.

Renee recently relocated to the Charleston area with her husband, who was born and raised on James Island. She enjoys traveling, coffee, and spending time with her friends and family.
