Jeff Kelly, Psy.D.

Postdoctoral Psychologist

Jeff Kelly is a postdoctoral psychologist who holds a doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from George Fox University. His previous professional experiences include being a cancer hospital chaplain, crisis worker, university counselor, community mental health counselor, and inpatient substance abuse therapist. Jeff’s experiences have given him the opportunity to walk with people through a variety of difficult and painful life circumstances, which has enabled him to develop the ability to accept people wherever they are while offering a strong, supportive presence.

Jeff’s current clinical interests include life adjustments, depression, anxiety, PTSD and other trauma-related difficulties, grief, and men’s issues. Additionally, Jeff is interested in a holistic approach to counseling that addresses a person’s biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects. As such, Jeff seeks to help clients integrate their Christian faith into therapy, when that is desired and appropriate. While Jeff is a committed Christian, he has worked with individuals with diverse religious and spiritual beliefs and has a keen ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. He believes strongly in creating a therapeutic environment where all individuals can experience the freedom to be authentic and vulnerable without judgment or imposition. Jeff uses up-to-date evidence-based treatments to help clients know themselves better, such that clients come to better understand their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships, as well as how these relate to relevant past experiences. Jeff also empowers clients to make life changes by helping them to develop effective tools and strategies for better navigating their current life circumstances and challenges.

In addition to providing individual therapy, Jeff also has experience as a teacher and is available to facilitate educational seminars within the community on various subjects, including stress and anxiety, healthy relationships, boundaries, mood management, as well as the relationship between psychology, religion, and spirituality.

Originally from Southeast Florida, Jeff enjoys all aspects of being around water, including surfing, fishing, and trying his very best to not get sunburnt. Jeff is married and the father of 3 young children. When he is not by the water or spending time with his family, Jeff can be found investing in his local church community.
